Hi,
This is a whole new experience for me typing on this Blog!!We have been at Rhonda and John's since Jan. 24th. The 27th we went to Denver to National Jewish hospital where Bob had tests all week. Sunday nite we stayed all nite and he had that sleep apnea test . The next day he had tests all day--nothing icky like Rhonda had. We spent that nite in Denver at a motel because his tests started the next morning at 8a.m, had tests in the morn. and then back to C.S. Wed. was free so I baked cookies for the Sobecki's.Thurs. back to Denver and Rhonda went with us.The traffic was so awful it took us 2 1/2 hours to get there instead of 1 1/2. All for a 1/2 hour test.Back to C.S. Friday back to Denver one more time and met with Rhonda's Dr. for the test results..Pretty much the same as the V.A. had told him . Needs to exercise and diet--Sound familiar. Enough of that!!
The weather here has been pretty good and the sun shines most days unlike Iowa!! Rhonda,Rachel and I went cross country skiing Sat. but it was cold and snowy--still beautiful up there (Frisco). Did meet one of Bob's niece's and her husband for dinner up there.
Sunday we had a Super Bowl partyand Rhonda won 3 quarters and John the other one.!! Monday I made the second batch of rye bread and did some mending . That nite we played some games--found Quidder-Carolyn -in Frisco so bought that. Today-Tuesday- had a manicure and Bob and I both got hair-cuts from a friend of Rhonda's that she and her husband spent a lot of time in Fredericksburg so got some good hints there. We leave tomorrow morning(Wed) and hope to arrive in Fredericksburg Thurs. and get on the HOG!!
I think I've rambled long enough. Hope everyone is well and we love you. See you in S.D. July 2nd.
Love
Jan and Bob

Aunt Jan - Aug 30th, 2007
Dear Grush Bunch,
It's been almost a year since I got this bird. He's kind of a slow flier!! But I surely enjoy getting it. Love the pictures.
Started the year out great by Smith's and us going to Greene for New Year's Eve. A. Sue had gone shopping and bought A. Jo and I x-mas vest and turtlenecks.
Jan. 12th we left for Colorado Springs pulling our small trailer with our Harley inside! Rhonda's has a lot of snow!! We painted Rachel's room - 2 walls bright pink and 2 lime green. Rhonda took me to Ma Ma Mia which was so good. Left CS January 22nd and went to Mission, TX and stayed with a friend for a week. There are a lot of RV parks and traffic there!! Then Feb 1st we drove to Fredericksburg, TX - north and west of San Antonio - the hill country and stayed for a month. We rode 3200 miles on the Harley. Was really pretty and pretty warm - a whole lot better than the below zero weather in Iowa!! Except coming back, we were 20 miles from Sioux City - winter conditions and we ran into pick up camper and totaled our truck!! So now we're in the market for a smaller SUV that can pull the trailer, as we're going back to TX this coming Feb.
Bob's oldest sister died in March and the next one ' a sister in Seattle is in the hospital now with strokes. We did see her in June when we went to Washington with the Sobecki's.
While we were in Texas, I had the carpenters come and put in a new kitchen counter-top Formica just like A. Sue's and a wood laminate floor. Upgraded a little.
I flew to Ranae's May2nd - 15th. We painted her bedroom, bathroom and 2 hallways. Went to a mother daughter banquet at her church. Then Johns and I stayed with the kids while Ranae and 3 friends went to Santa Fe, NM for 4 days. I also painted 25 doors - Ranae has a lot of doors!! Then Bob flew out Sat-Wed.
June 12th we left home - stayed in a motel at Palmer Gulch - Where we'll be next July 2 - 6th. Just wanted to get a feel for the place. met Sobecki's at Buffalo, Wyoming- parked out vehicle hopped in with them and we took off for NW Washington and stayed till the 24th. Had a great time, salmon fishing, eating fresh bing cherries, had a great cabin by a river, played a lot of tripoly. Went whale watching, spent one day in Vancouver, Canada. It was beautiful there.
Aug 15 - 19th we went to Rod's. Jason was still home- hadn't seen him since last summer.
Will close this book. Good to hear from everyone. God Bless!!
