Dear Grush Bunch,

It was great to hear from all of you! I know this letter seems to take a long time getting around, but given everyone's busy and hectic schedules, its completely understandable! Even old news is good to read when it keeps you in touch with the special Family that we have!

Things continue to hum at the Eernisse household! I'm not sure where the summer went, but we seemed to stay busy. Morgan spent 10 days in Spain and Madrid. She has lots of pictures and wonderful memories of this experience! She also spent a week at Riverside Bible Camp again and in between all this played softball and volleyball, and also worked at Organic Valley with us for 6 weeks. She liked getting the paycheck and didn't even mind the 'office work' that she had to do. However, she still says she would never want to be an accountant! Morgan is a junior this year and playing volleyball, in band, choir and piano, participates in various clubs and is a class officer. And she's enjoying the fact that she got her license in April, though she really thinks she needs her own car.

Christian has his first experience with Coaches Pitch baseball this summer, with Todd as his coach! They had lots of fun, and Todd learned patience with 5 & 6 year olds that sometimes preferred playing in the dirt to being ready to catch the ball! This fall he is in a 9-week sports program where he learns some basics about football, soccer, and basketball. As long as it involves sports, he's happy! He started kindergarten this year and loves school. I hope that continues for the next 12+ years!

We spent a few days at Okoboji with Mom and Dad prior to the fourth of July. We had the opportunity to see Aunt Jan and Uncle Oz a couple times, and Sandy and family. The best part of it for Morgan was the private showing of prom dresses that she had at the bridal shop in Estherville, and Mom and I enjoyed seeing her try on all the dresses. She found one she loved, and when it went on sale at the end of the summer, I appreciated the price! Thanks again, Aunt Jan, for a wonderful time that day! Then Todd and I went to the Lake of the Ozarks for golfing at the end of July. We stopped in Sioux City on our way (we were in Luverne for the weekend) and got to visit with Aunt Sue and Uncle Terry, and Henry for a little while. We hadn't had the opportunity to see their new home, so we got a grad tour. What a beautiful place they have!

Now we're back into the school routine and running to the various sporting and music events that our life seems to revolve around. Work also keeps us busy, and projects around the house are never ending, so time seems to keep marching on and we never quite seems to get everything done. Oh well, what would we do with the spare time?! We hop all is well with everyone, and we look forward to next summer and celebrating the Ruetters 50th wedding anniversary!
